As a pivotal part of the Pega Pre-Sales organization, the DemoX team supports, designs, and develops world-class demos that help drive Pega’s profits and engagement with the global market and differentiate Pega’s solution from our competitors.


We produce numerous assets that range in interactivity from live software demos to compelling and exciting videos. DemoX collaborates with every major department at Pega, including Product Managers, Product Engineers, Professional Services and clients to influence the direction of the product.

What You'll Do at Pega:

You’ll be part of a team responsible for deploying our demo environments into reusable cloud instances and supporting the internal Pega Sales and Pre-sales staff, who use those cloud instances.  Utilize, create and maintain SOPs where applicable to improve efficiency.  Support a wide range of Pega employees as they demonstrate product to prospects, clients, and analysts.

You’ll engage with both AWS cloud technology, Pega’s proprietary technology and additional tools and scripts in your efforts to achieve the goal of allowing our client-facing teams to deliver the smoothest demos possible.

 

Demo Support team members:

  • Monitor the Demo Support inbox and perform first/second level support for these requests as per documented procedures, adhering to documented SLAs as best as possible, but also collaborating with additional teams for escalations and fast delivery.
  • Image Creation, Management, and Distribution
    • Manage a library of demo environments - AWS template images
    • Assist with creating and maintaining instances on our reserved instance demo platform.  Includes configuration of Pega applications (from documentation) for demo readiness.
    • Create and update images as needed.  Including OS updates, security enhancements, new proprietary products, etc.
  • Typical requests include: creation, monitoring, deletion, “lift and shift”, troubleshooting of demo instances as well as related tasks such as issuing digital access keys, engaging with a multitude of third party integrations, assisting Sales staff with demo building, etc.
  • Technology involved includes (but is not limited to) AWS – Amazon Web Services, Pega Platform, Pega CRM, Pega industry specific apps, SharePoint, Twilio, DocuSign, Google APIs, and CTI providers.
  • End user support for these environments primarily includes support for network, OS, database, webserver configuration/deployment, and proprietary software install.
  • Infrastructure Backlog Development : Participate in global infrastructure projects and initiatives to help further our goals while branching out into new technologies and gaining experience to grow within Pega.

 

Who You Are:

You are a driven, self-reliant technologist with keen attention to detail who is eager to lead and work within a team. You know the right questions to ask and aren’t afraid to ask for help when needed. Innovation is at top of mind for you and you are looking to work with the newest technologies, such as Generative AI.
 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a field related to Solutions Engineering, DevOps Database/DB Admin
  • Hands-on understanding of PaaS and SaaS Cloud computing models
  • Advantageous to have technical knowledge or some work experience/exposure in the following fields
    • Pega 8.x/Pega Infinity Platform
    • Linux (CentOS, RHEL) administration
    • Cloud technology support (AWS)
    • SQL Databases, especially PostgreSQL and Oracle
    • Tomcat and the Apache suite
    • Docker & Kubernetes
    • Networking principles (firewalls, routing)
    • Good scripting skills
    • Experience in Cassandra and Kafka
  • Organizational skills – ability to coordinate and prioritize many issues simultaneously
  • Problem solving skills – ability to understand internal and external company functions and work within the system to solve problems and get the job done
  • Documentation skills – ability to prepare and maintain documentation to scripts, solutions and procedures
