Three capabilities of digital technologies—ubiquitous data, unlimited connectivity, and massive processing power—are making possible radically new customer value propositions. But identifying those value propositions, and then actually delivering them, requires that leaders purposely design their companies to deliver digitally-inspired value propositions. MIT’s Center for Information Systems Research has identified five essential building blocks that help established companies transform into digital powerhouses. In this session MIT CISR’s Jeanne Ross discusses how companies are designing themselves for digital business success. In particular, she will explore how they define transformation journeys that allow them to sustain success with traditional sources of profit while positioning themselves for a more digital economy.
