As a member of one of the most innovative and fastest-growing groups at Pega, you will work closely with talented engineers and product owners across the globe (US/EU/India) to build a highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

Picture Yourself at Pega:

In this role, you will engage deeply in maintaining the quality of the Pega Application. You would be writing test plans for the product features, writing and executing test cases for the same. Automation is one of the key areas, to keep a constant check on the product quality with the best-in-class technologies and tools like Selenium, Cucumber etc. You would also be working on CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Groovy scripts to create and maintain pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of latest features. You would have great scope for innovation to create new tools/utilities, which gives more productive time to team and ensure better quality.

What You'll Do at Pega:

35% - Product Testing

  • Represent the test/quality amigo in the scrum team.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to design, develop, test, and document high-quality test specifications for the features delivered by the team.
  • Ensure execution of all identified test cases of feature/release within sprint and release commitments.
  • Gain knowledge of Pega product and leverage it to identify, investigate and report product defects.

35% - Test Automation Development

  • Ensure all the features delivered have test automation written and executed in the daily build pipelines.
  • Write efficient and fast executing functional test automation scripts using industry standard frameworks and complying to the best practices.

15% - Collaboration, coordination of team & cross-team testing

  • Ensure the features developed by the Agile team are tested thoroughly within the sprint and release timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management, Development, UX design group, and other stakeholders to build high-quality features.
  • Coordinate and plan cross-team testing events.

10% - Skill development & technology learning:

  • Invest in yourself to learn test automation technologies and apply innovative testing approaches.

5% - Monitoring, Stakeholder collaborations, Customer/client engagements, Innovation

  • Ensure the features developed by the Agile team are tested thoroughly within the sprint and release timelines.
  • Reduce manual testing efforts through applying innovative testing approaches and technologies.

Who You Are:

  • You are passionate about test automation and code quality and eager to develop your skills within an enterprise environment while working with an industry leading product. You have practical knowledge of software testing best practices, testing terminologies, and writing test automations with at least one technology.  You think outside the box and use your experience for more effective collaboration.
  • You are competent in identifying, documenting, and executing test cases. You have basic skill to come up with test strategy, test planning and debugging the test failures.
  • You share your updates, ideas and plans competently through verbal and written communications. Attention to detail is your proficiency. You actively participate in all the scrum ceremonies to mature and make the team self-organized.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline  / BE/B. Tech or Equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience developing test plans from use cases 
  • Practical knowledge of software testing best practices
  • Software test experience with Java, Selenium,Cucumber, TestNG, or other technologies
  • Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Troubleshooting, Reverse-Engineering, or Debugging skills
  • Agile/Scrum development methodology experience
