The Application Engineer is a member of the CRM organization. This person contributes to bookings growth and customer success through participation in CRM business teams as an application developer. This person builds business processes, framework features and supporting functions based upon identified business requirements and use cases.  The person functions in Scrum teams with other professionals focused on building, maintaining, and supporting solutions frameworks for the CRM industry. Pega is changing the way the world builds software and our goal is to be the no. 1 CRM SaaS company in the world. In this role, you'll help us design, develop, implement new enhancements for the applications.

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Develop world’s best CRM applications. 
  • Design, develop and implement high quality Application Software with minimal defects that conforms with suggested design patterns and best practices using Pega Platform and CRM applications.
  • Work as part of a collaborative Agile team working in a SCRUM model and collaborate with talented engineers across the organization. Report work status, progress and impediments in a timely fashion.
  • Understand and deliver solutions to the business problem with end user empathy.
  • Take ownership of bugs and designing and implementing a story and drive it to completion.
  • Develop and execute unit test cases to draft test your work.

Who You Are:

A result oriented individual, driven with passion and ability to explore solutions and solve complex customer problems.

  • 3-4 years of software development experience, preferably working experience on Pega.
  • BE or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong PRPC technical skills, preferably Pega 8 and above. Participates in design and development of features
  • Good to have exposure on Low-Code development.

  • Exposure to integration technologies like XML, JSON, REST, SOAP
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Partner with internal clients, like Product Managers, to align business goals with implementation results
  • Demonstrates customer empathy, willing to adopt best practices ensuring delivered work exceeds customer ever changing demands
  • A creative problem solver – passionate to analyze, identify and solve problems
  • Team player with good verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to design solutions to simple to medium complex problems/use cases using Pega decisioning technologies
  • Thorough understanding of (Pega based) applications’ architecture you have previously worked on
  • Ability to think and code fast independently with little hand holding and mostly driven with self- initiation
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly
