Senior/Principal Front End Developer

The Digital team at Pegasystems creates, maintains, and continuously improves the websites that help people learn, sell, and buy Pega applications. The 8+ digital properties we work on span internal and external audiences across offices in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.
Picture Yourself at Pega:
We're seeking a talented senior-level front-end developer to join our growing global team. You'll work with a diverse team of designers, developers, and content creators to help create components and patterns that shape multiple digital properties across the Pega digital ecosystem. You are not just coding UI elements but building product features that create daily value.
What You'll Do at Pega:
• Build and code enterprise-level UI design system
• Resolve complex issues reported on existing applications
• Refine complex requirements into bite-sized technical specs
• Communicate effectively with project managers, product owners, and development team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization
• Help with the technical evolution of the Design System framework
• Construct patterns that help design system implementers create world-class experiences
• Create build tools to enhance the team's workflow, such as faster build times and automated tests
• Craft documentation to help design system implementers know how to get started, implement, and craft best-in-class experiences
• Help system implementers troubleshoot design system usage and bring enhancements back to the team’s workflow
• Help content creators create curated experiences without the need for new features from the CMS team
• Implement development best practices
Who You Are:
A motivated and accomplished web developer with a record of accomplishment of building state-of-the-art, scalable, extensible, and feature-rich React applications, with the following qualities:
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on projects
• Passionate about learning and applying new JavaScript and web technology
• Committed to collaboration and teamwork in all facets of development
• Excellent critical reasoning, oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Have experimented with Generative AI Applications
What You've Accomplished:
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• 5+ of professional experience
• 5+ years of experience working with Design Systems
• 7+ years of HTML/CSS/JavaScript development experience with a CMS
• 5+ years experience with GIT with branching strategies like GitFlow
• 5+ years experience with agile software development and Scrum
• Experience building UI Experiences in Drupal, helpful
• BS or equivalent
