Senior Technical Support Engineer

What You'll Do at Pega:
- Collaborate with team of engineers and customers to troubleshoot a variety of unique software solutions.
- Interact with clients and partners at all levels supporting the Pega platform.
- Acting as a trusted advisor in support of Pega technology, gain insights and understanding of customers’ needs and diverse technical solutions.
- Apply knowledge and technical competence on Pega products and services to support client issues.
- Collaborate with product teams as needed to research problems and provide solutions to clients in time critical situations. Maintain exceptional customer relationships by handling questions and concerns on support incidents.
- Drive support incidents with proactive actions to avoid escalations and meet service level agreements.
- Work with field engineers to assist on-site teams in resolving complex issues.
- Become a subject matter expert in product functionality and use that to drive customer-based solutions.
Who You Are:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field of study, and
- 4 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving application development and support with Java, C++ and/or C#.
- Experience specified must include each of the following:
- 4 years of experience with object-oriented programming and design;
- 1 year of experience with Database technologies (SQL Server , Oracle, PostgreSQL, or DB2); and
- 1 year of experience with one or more operating systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris, or zOS).
- May live anywhere in the US.
- Telecommuting permitted.
- Must work East Coast business hours.
- Must work shifts on rotation including weekend coverage.
