As a Senior Application Engineer in this role, you'll collaborate with a self-organized team to devise and execute solutions within the Healthcare industry (especially, US Healthcare market). What You'll Do at Pega:
Actively participate in design and development of applications. Leverage best in class Pega technology to drive the design, implementation, quality, and support for GOALS -> EPICS -> User stories using scaled agile methodology.
Assist in the identification of enhancements to Pega’s products.
Collaborate with product management to help define and align product goals with software deliverables
Technologies you will work on – Pega, REST Services, Postgres, Oracle, DB2, Tomcat.
As a senior you are expected to participate and suggest design patterns and be able to research the latest and greatest of pega technology and be able to explain and drive with architect and product management.
Actively participate in the Scrum processes used to develop solutions - providing continuous feedback and implement changes to our development processes.
Take ownership of the components/tasks and make sure they are delivered with great quality.
Resolve customer issues through technical guidance or by issuing formal fixes.
Actively contribute to Innovate and be able to adapt to change.
Work as part of a collaborative team by being mindful of good software development patterns/designs and practices surrounded by fun loving talented engineers.
Who You Are:
- You are a Senior Pega Developer who is passionate about software development, and strive to find simple, elegant solutions to complex real-world business problems.
- You are a proven performer who is driven by code quality, cleanliness, maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- You are passionate about learning new technologies and are interested in utilizing the power of model-driven development to architect and implement low-code enterprise applications.
- You enjoy working in an agile, fast-paced environment that values collaboration and teamwork.
- You possess strong communication and inter-personal skills and thrive in a robust environment that imposes new challenges frequently.
- Strong PRPC technical skills, preferably Pega 8 and above. Participates in design and development of features
- Actively contribute to innovations or POCs team.
What You've Accomplished:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of Enterprise application systems.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Exposure to integration technologies like XML, JSON, REST, SOAP
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Partner with internal clients, like Product Managers, to align business goals with implementation results
- Thorough understanding of (Pega based) applications’ architecture you have previously worked on
- Pega CSSA (pega senior system architect) is highly desirable and exposure to U.S Healthcare domain is an added plus (Familiarity with business processes in US Healthcare industry related to key solution areas is preferable)
- Good experience/understanding of Javascript, CSS, HTML is desired
- Having knowledge on one of the UI frameworks ReactJS or Angular
would be helpful to work on progressive assignments. - Experience in unit testing and acceptance testing of the feature developed.
- Ability to think and code fast independently with little hand holding and mostly driven with self- initiation
- Ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
