Meet Our Team:

The number of our Pega Cloud SaaS and PaaS customers is rapidly growing. We are looking for individuals who will help us to drive this growth by building highly scalable cutting-edge Cloud Services. As part of this team, you will be one of the leaders working at the nexus of the infrastructure behind Pega Cloud. You will be part of the Infrastructure Tribe, working on cloud deployments running on AWS and GCP as well as Kubernetes, Istio, and storage products. Contributing to a variety of technologies, vendors, architectures, implementation, and support.

In this role, you’ll help us lead a team that will design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and operate the components and services that power Pega Cloud services. We are looking for a highly engaged, technically strong and collaborative individual with a positive attitude who wants to help us with achieving our goal - being the "Top 1" CRM SaaS company in the world! Our Pega Cloud team is distributed globally with three major technology centers in the US, in the EU and in India. 

 

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Provide leadership to engineering teams (two teams - around 8 people) that build Cloud Services following the established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality standards.
  • Develop, inspire, mentor, and evaluate the engineering team by providing technical training plans, career growth guidance, and continuous feedback.
  • Enable the teams to deliver functionality by collaborating with multiple stakeholders including cross functional teams, architects, product owners, scrum masters and others.
  • Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Identify the need for training and talent development.
  • Review designs and code and provide meaningful feedback, and the detail orientation to follow-up on all technical topics.
  • Advocate technical excellence and strong software engineering best practices.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to engineering teams.
  • Facilitate innovation to drive towards engineering excellence.

 

Who You Are:

You are an effective communicator and collaborator. You are a team lead/manager who has experience in cloud technologies and is passionate about exploring and applying this to help solve real business problems.


 

What You've Accomplished:

  • 4 – 7 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company, with 1+ years as a technical lead or manager.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, with an ability to implement code that meets engineering excellence standard with minimal oversight.
  • Knowledge of Go, Java or similar.
  • Experience in Development, Deployment using one of the following cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar).
  • Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
  • Experience or good understanding of DevOps automation and pipeline tools.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
  • Very good command of English.

It will be great, but not required if you have:

  • Knowledge of Cloud Operations good practices.
  • Understanding of Micro-Services and Stateless Architecture.
  • Writing Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
  • Exposure to Microservices (Lifecycle management), Kubernetes, Multi-tenancy (infrastructure), Multi-cloud, Cloud migration of the system, or any combination of these.
  • Experience partnering with internal clients & product managers to align implementation with business goals & outcomes.
