Meet Our Team:

Pega Systems Worldwide is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join the Localization team as Localization Specialist. Work closely with the stakeholders like product owners, Dev teams and field teams. Should be able to differentiate different products that can be classified under one category/group.  This individual would be exposed to Spanish OR Brazilian Portuguese glossary and expected to use them as reference while working on projects assigned

Picture Yourself at Pega:

Primarily be responsible for localizing (in Spanish OR Brazilian Portuguese) the industry applications for multiple industries like Finance, Insurance etc. You will work as part of larger localization team to support different initiatives across Industries, languages, and products. In doing so you will utilize data and develop creative processes to improve your team’s overall performance. You will directly work with Product Owner’s, Development and Field teams to maintain and generate language packs for Pega Products leading to customer success.

What You'll Do at Pega:

 

  • Collaborate with Engineering to improve the technical approach to internationalization and the end-to-end localization workflow.
  • Manage language translation projects and requirements across external vendors, from budgeting and contract negotiation to project planning, coordination, and execution, to ensure high-quality output.
  • Establish and maintain a core terminology database and Translation Memory to facilitate accurate translations, using industry-specific CAT tools and processes such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, and Memsource Phrase. This ensures consistent, high-quality translations delivered on time.
  • Provide input on localization strategy, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and localization best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive localization feedback and improvements.
  • Monitor and report on localization metrics to track the success of localization efforts. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to propose and implement innovative solutions.
  • Provide guidance to teams, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Fluent in Spanish OR Brazilian Portuguese Language
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science) and 4 to 8 years of relevant working experience.
  • Sound knowledge on MS-Office applications (Very Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Hands on experience with CAT software (such as memoq, SDLTrados, Groupshare, Phrase etc).
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral English with the ability to face external and internal stakeholders in a professional and mature manner.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and high capability to work on different projects in parallel.
  • Creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for operational excellence.
  • Experience managing translation and localization projects from beginning to end.
  • Experience in managing the work of external localization suppliers.
  • Ability to become technically proficient with Pega Platform tools.
