Senior Principal Curriculum Developer
What You'll Do at Pega:
- As a member of the Digital Learning Solutions team, design and write scenario-based text, screen-recorded videos, and interactive online content for citizen developers and technical team members.
- Work with Product Experts to develop new and maintain existing courseware:
- Develop module and topic designs for Pega’s core technology;
- Develop applications, lesson content and lab exercises to support courseware development;
- Assume course ownership in designing training solution to solve complex business problems, including scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical lesson design, training application build, product configuration, unit testing, acceptance testing and production deployment.
- Engage in development and maintenance of innovative hands-on exercise system and auto-grading capabilities:
- Create grading objects in Pega’s Exercise System Manager (ESM);
- Maintain and map RAPs to exercises in ESM;
- Troubleshoot and debug grading and lab errors;
- Assume ownership of the auto-grading updates for each development cycle.
- Become knowledgeable in assigned area of Pega technology:
- Work directly with project stakeholders to achieve agreement that the proposed solutions satisfy the intended business needs;
- Ensure delivered solutions are realized within the committed time frame, working with the Curriculum Development Manager to scope and resource projects and manage risks;
- Develop lesson designs for Pega’s core technology;
- Develop applications, lesson content and lab exercises to support courseware development.
- Automate manual processes and maintain Jenkins pipelines.
- Follow organizational processes to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Who You Are:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study, and
- 7 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving production software development, including object-oriented design, debugging, unit testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:
- Software development lifecycle;
- Programming languages, including object-oriented programming principles;
- Building applications with a low-code development platform;
- Agile methodologies, including Scrum and related project tracking tools; and
- Senior System Architect experience with Pegasystems Platform including the most recent product versions.
- Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following:
- Independently manage scope and complete deliverables;
- Automated testing frameworks and tools including Parallel Execution of Selenium Automation scripts, Java, Cucumber, Appium, and Telerik;
- Learning design and curriculum development;
- Technical Courseware or documentation development experience, including design and implementation of instructional material and supporting solutions applications; and
- Creating training content using eLearning tools such as Flare, Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, Storyline or similar tools.
- Experience specified must include 2 years of experience with DevOps and Pipelines using Jenkins, Python, ANT, GIT, Groovy, Gradle, Maven, AWS, and Linux.
- Requires Pega Senior System Architect Certification.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
- Must live within normal commuting distance of Pegasystems Inc.’s office in Waltham, MA.
