Pegasystems named a leader in Dynamic Case Management by top independent research firm

Report ranks Pegasystems with highest score in ten categories, including current offering and market presence

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – February 24, 2016 – Pegasystems Inc. (NASDAQ: PEGA), the software company empowering the world’s leading enterprises with strategic business applications, today announced Forrester Research has named Pegasystems a leader in the new Forrester Wave™ report evaluating dynamic case management (DCM) solutions. Forrester ranked the Pega platform with the highest scores in ten total categories, including current offering and market presence, which are two of the three overall categories evaluated by the firm.

In the report, The Forrester Wave™: Dynamic Case Management, Q1 2016 (1), Forrester evaluated Pegasystems and 13 additional vendors on their “adaptive, analytics, and mobile features, all critical to helping enterprises tackle increasing volumes of varied and unstructured work.” In addition to current offering and market presence, the report also ranked Pegasystems with the top scores in these categories: architectural support for DCM, supporting capabilities, predictive analytics, predictive analytics use cases, planned enhancements, evaluated version’s install base, product’s overall install base, and revenue.

Forrester makes the following observations on Pegasystems in the report: “Compared with other vendors in the evaluation, Pegasystems has the most production predictive analytics use cases. This is no real surprise, as it is one of only two DCM providers in Forrester’s evaluation of the real-time interaction management market.” The report goes on to say, “Enterprises select Pega for process agility, domain accelerators, and rule-centric apps and when integration strength is a core requirement, particularly for service request use cases.”

Pega was recently named a leader in The Forrester Wave™: BPM Platforms For Digital Business, Q4 2015 (2), as well as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Real-Time Interaction Management, Q3 2015 (3). This follows a series of additional reports in which Pegasystems was evaluated as a BPM leader, including Gartner’s Magic Quadrant on BPM-Platform-Based Case Management Frameworks (4) and Gartner’s 2015 Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites (5). Pegasystems also recently received the highest scores in Gartner’s 2015 Critical Capabilities for BPM-Platform-Based Case Management Frameworks (6).

Pega is an industry-leading, model-driven application development environment and platform for the Pegasystems portfolio of strategic business applications. It empowers businesspeople to create and evolve critical business systems, simplifying and automating operations so organizations can reduce costs and improve business agility. According to a Pega-commissioned Total Economic Impact study conducted by Forrester Consulting, Pega reduced time to market for new business applications by 50 percent (7).

Quotes & Commentary:

“Despite a multitude of data available at their fingertips, many businesses still struggle to provide consistent customer experiences due to organizational siloes that inhibit collaboration,” said Don Schuerman, Vice President of Product Marketing and Chief Technology Officer, Pegasystems. “Dynamic case management serves as the antidote to this problem by enabling businesses to maintain customer context across different points of contact along the customer journey, creating a seamless end-to-end experience. This recognition from Forrester supports our belief that Pega’s unique combination of a dynamic platform and predictive analytics allows businesses to deliver on the consistent, relevant experiences today’s customer demands.”
