Linley Wood
As Executive General Manager, Operations, Linley has been leading the Operations and WorkSmart functions at ASB for the past five years. These teams include Lending & Card Operations, Payment & Risk Operations, Financial Crime & Investigations, Wealth, Insurance & Business Support, People Operations and Simplification and Transformation.
Linley joined ASB in 1988 and has over 30 years’ experience in a range of disciplines, including corporate and taxation law, governance, strategy, communications, sponsorship and human resources management. In her EGM Operations role, Linley has led the introduction of both Pega workbenches and robotics at ASB, with several successful implementations of this technology.
Linley holds BA, LLB and MBA (Finance) degrees from the University of Auckland.
Barry Coughlan
As the Head of Automation, Barry has been on board since the initial adoption of Pega and is the business owner of Pega & Robotics. Barry has played an instrumental role in establishing the Pega capability, developing the pipeline, involved throughout delivery, benefits achieved, educating on what’s possible and evolving the delivery approach to maximise the value ASB gets from Pega. He has also supported other NZ companies as they look to understand what’s possible with Pega and ASB’s path to adoption.
Prior to ASB, Barry was an Associate Director at PwC for 12 years Consulting on a range of Technology and Project delivery related client issues. Through this time he’s worked with many small and large companies across the UK, US, Middle East and New Zealand.
Barry holds a Degree in BSc HONS, Business Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth.
